You are taking a course at a local college. The deadline for your project was last week but you haven't finished it. Write a letter to your lecturer. In your letter introduce yourself explain why you haven't handed in the project yet request more time to do it.

Dear Professor Ramana, I am Damodara Madhukar, pursuing the first term of my Master's in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management. I am writing
this
letter to inform you that I could not meet my project deadline
due to
various research reasons and to kindly request you extend the deadline so as to be able to submit the project. As you are aware that I am currently working on the Environmental Effects of the Reverse Logistics of e-Commerce companies, I had to interact with various transportation companies and industrial experts to add more information and value to my thesis. I have personally contacted them and because of their busy schedule, I could only meet three out of six professionals in the given time. So, in order to bring real value addition to
this
thesis, interacting with the specialists is vital. I hereby request you sincerely to extend the deadline, helping me to strengthen my findings. Yours Sincerely, Damodara Madhukar

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
