Some people believe that higher education should be funded by the government. Others, however, argue that it is the responsibility of individuals to fund their higher education. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

According to
some individuals, the
government
should grant higher
education
free for
students
regardless of their economic condition.
On the contrary
, other masses believe that everyone should bear the expenses of higher
education
by themselves. I personally believe that higher
education
should be free for some special cases, but not for everyone.
This
essay will explore both standpoints and provide a personal opinion.
Although
education
is one of the basic needs of human beings
,

when considering higher
education
several perspectives deserve attention. First of all, higher
education
requires a huge amount of funding to provide effective and useful
education
to pupils. These expenses cover research, lab projects, salaries of the professors and so on.
Therefore
, it would not be possible for the
government
to spend a huge amount of money without the contribution of the
students
.
In addition
, a lot of part-time working opportunities are available for
students
which not only help them to pay tuition
fees
but
also
grow some professional skills
for instance
communication skills. After graduation, they add that skills to their resume to find jobs. A recent study based in London illustrates that, those
students
who were involved in a job for their survival
while
studying secure employment easily. Higher
education
should not be paid to demonstrate equality among
students
.
Nevertheless
, there are some
students
who expect extra support from the
government
.
For example
, for
students
who have a strong desire to learn but, cannot find any job to bear their
fees
then
in that case, the
government
should support them with tuition
fees
for a certain amount of time.
Moreover
, those
students
who are differently abled have the equal right to
education
like the normal
students
and the state can provide them support because of
this
issue. And it is needless to say , those who are meritorious
government
can provide full-funded tuition
fees
to them to encourage others.
Although
higher
education
is costly, the accessibility of it for everyone should be ensured by the
government
. But, whether it would be paid or not should be assessed
according to
the circumstances.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
