Science can increase people's lifespan for up to 100 years. There are projections that science may further increase the lifespan to 200 years. Is this a good or a bad thing? Discuss both the view and give your opinion.

With the development of scientific technologies and treatments, the
life
expectancy of
people
can be increased compared to the past. It is expected that in the future
people
may be able to live up to their 200s on average.
While
many may say that living a longer
life
allows them to do more work, others may think
this
would be a waste of
resources
. In
this
essay, I will examine the advantages and disadvantages of an extended lifespan and explain why I feel that
people
should live naturally
according to
the limits of their physical bodies. For some, the longer
life
they are able to live, the longer their professional years become. If they could work longer with full efficiency, they would have more time to accumulate experiences along their career paths.
This
may result in more achievements, possibly leading to more inventions and technologies that can improve
people
's quality of
life
.
This
means that given a longer
life
expectancy, the world would be developed effectively as
people
are more well-equipped with skills.
Conversely
, others may think that using a scientific approach to extend the lifespan of
people
requires a tremendous amount of
resources
ranging from electricity to food.
Moreover
, with the existing climate change crisis, using up
resources
more rapidly could affect a faster change in temperature and more serious natural disasters.
This
in turn results in a less liveable environment as
people
have to use more
resources
in order to keep their biological bodies alive In my opinion, despite the benefits of a more impactful development from living longer, environmental issues are more vital as
people
are
also
the habitats of the world.
In addition
,
people
would not be alive with comfort if they were not in an environment that their physical bodies could easily be adapted to.
Therefore
, I think living
according to
the human body's biological limits is more sustainable than trying to extend
life
expectancy. In conclusion,
although
there are many benefits of living longer,
people
should
also
be aware of the drawbacks which are more serious as it could lead to a climate tipping point which is the point of no return for the human species.
