In the letter: – Explain that you have completed your studies – Give details of the event, including time, date and dress code – Let them know how many tickets they have and who they are for
Dear Mom and Dad,
I hope
this
letter finds you well. I have great news to share with you that I will be graduating this
year and the institute has organised the convocation program for the same. I want both of you to be there when I am collecting my degree from the chief guest.
The convocation program will take place on 28th January at the football playground of the institute. The event will start at 2 pm, but please be present at 12 pm for a photo session. The formal dress code is compulsory along with
a black tie. The function will end at 7 pm in the evening.
The college has provided five passes to each student so along with
you two, my little sister and grandparents can also
join the function. If any one of you cannot make it to the event please let me know very well in advance.
I cannot wait to see you soon.
Yours lovingly,
