We are becoming increasingly dependent on computer-based technology. How do you think it will change in the future? Is it good for us to rely so much on computers?

Nowadays,
technology
is advancing at a rapid pace, with a focus on computer-based innovations. It’s no exaggeration to say that computers have become an integral part of our daily
lives
and we can't imagine life without them. In
this
essay, I will explain how I believe we need to harness the internet more efficiently in the future to ensure that it continues to benefit our
lives
while
avoiding our complete dependence on it. I agree that maximizing task efficiency is crucial for businesses, and utilizing the internet to access vast amounts of information quickly is key to achieving
this
.
For instance
, before the advent of AI automation, we had to rely on people and spend a lot of time and money to collect the necessary information.
Although
AI systems may currently lack precision
due to
ongoing development, I am convinced that
this
technology
will provide a breakthrough affecting the decreasing population available to work in the future.
However
, I believe that
although
humanity needs
technology
in order to progress as an autonomous entity, a complete reliance on innovative
technology
is not ideal.
This
assertion is based on the potential increase in social isolation as face-to-face interactions decline
due to
the ubiquity of technological advancements.
Furthermore
, when a population is declining, social isolation can exacerbate negative economic aspects,
for instance
, depression can lead to crime. It should be noted that humanity is an autonomous entity that progresses with the aid of
technology
. In conclusion,
while
technology
has undoubtedly revolutionized our
lives
and made certain tasks more efficient, a complete reliance on it may cause greater issues In the future our population will continue to decrease, which means we will need to use computer-based/digital
technology
in more efficient ways in order to maintain our labour/production at the same level. As our numbers decline, we must find new ways to handle information efficiently and effectively.
However
, we must
also
be mindful of the potential increase in social isolation as face-to-face interactions decline
due to
technological advancements. It is important to strike a balance between utilizing
technology
for progress
while
also
recognizing the importance of human connection and interaction in our daily
lives
. Ultimately, humanity progresses with the aid of
technology
, but it is up to us to ensure that
this
progress is made responsibly and sustainably.

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 250 words in writing task 2. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
