The given bar chart demonstrates the number of
minutes
spent on telephone calls in the UK during the 7-year period from 1995 to 2002.All units are measured in billions of
minutes
.
Overall
,
it is clear that
during the whole span, local calls accounted for the longest amount of time
while
one ,at least, was all calls from mobiles. In 1995,approximately 70
billion
minutes
of total UK calls were spent on local-fixed lines as opposed to international and mobile ones with 37 and 3
billion
respectively. All of the given figures had grown slowly before 1999 when local calls reached the highest point with 90 million
minutes
in total.
However
,calls using mobiles(all calls) were almost 9 times fewer.
Further
analyzing the graph,it is seen that after the year 1999,the highest figure started slowly decreasing even though it remained the longest one.In the
last
year(2002),the difference between categories was not dramatic with 70
billion
for the first one and 60 and 45
billion
respectively.
