The table given below gives us details on the percentage of landmarks with a variety of consumed durables from 1972 to 1983, in the span of 11 years, and we are going to discuss the main information absorbed from
this
table.
The usage of all consumer durables increased rapidly from 1972 to 1984. Telephones had the most significant rise among all the durables mentioned in this
table, whereas
electronic devices such
as televisions, vacuum cleaners, and dishwashers had a subtle increase in popularity.
The percentage of landmarks that include central heating had increased from 37% to 64%, television from 93% to 98%, refrigerator from 73% to 94%, washing machine from 66% to 80%, telephone from 42% to 77% from 1972 to 1983 in an 11 year period and, vacuum cleaner rose from 87% to 95% in the span of 10 years, from 1972 to 1982.
There is no applicable information on how many per cent of houses consumed gadgets like dishwashers until 1978 and videos before 1983, and vacuum cleaners in 1983, however
, there could be a reason behind this
. It is likely that videos and dishwashers were not invented or kept in personal households before 1983 and 1978.Submitted by foad.marashi on
