The diagram below gives information about the number of parcels delivered by two major mail services companies from 1920 to 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant
The chart illustrates how packages were distributed in numbers by using two main companies' (
FedEx
and TNT) data from 1920 to 2000.
In general, the 80 years result of FedEx
showed a little increase, in contrast
, TNT began low but showed almost straight five times growth in the delivery service.
FedEx
started off with 15000 parcels in 1920, showing an upward trend until 1940 when it reached its highest point at almost 25000. In the following decade, it dramatically plunged down, approximately at 12500 where it remained there for another ten years. From 1960 to 1980, the company rose by nearly 10000 boxes delivery which remained the same in the last
two decades.
In contrast
to FedEx
, TNT's number of services began three times lower (5000) than the opposing company, nevertheless
, until the middle of the 1960s, the upward trend levelled off at a little above 10000 for two decades. During the period between the 1980s and 1990s, the amount of transportation of package soared tremendously, reaching roughly about 22500. Yet, they climbed more till they hit just below 25000 in 2000, they ended up at their peak.Submitted by jargalalt on
