Overall

, we can see that two out of the three call types increased during the given period,

while

the local line experienced a different pattern. The latter was

also

used the most out of the three call types. From 1995 to 1999, the total

number

minutes

for local calls had risen up from 70

billion

minutes

to 90, but

after

this

last

year,

this

figure dropped significantly to 75

billion

in 2002. Compared to the national and international calls, the

number

of

minutes

used to make phone calls almost doubled from 35

billion

in 1995 to 60

billion

in 2002. Moving on to the mobiles, even though the

number

of

minutes

was less than 10 at the beginning of the period, by 2002,

this

figure had climbed to nearly 50

minutes

It is clear that

the use of telephones for calls changed drastically during the 8-year period,

however

, the biggest

number

of people using them were locals.
