‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

This writer is convinced that imposing a tax on junk food could reduce the number of people who consume these products and money from tax could be used for the healthcare system, while some people hold the opinion that exercise and a healthy diet could easily limit the effect of fast food.

I would suggest that the government should allow some companies to relocate to the regional areas to reduce the traffic in town.
