Some people think that you can never become fluent in a language unless you have spent time living or working in that country. Agree or disagree ?

It is often argued by some
people
that no one can become an expert user of any
language
unless he or she starts working and living in another
country
. I strongly agree with
this
idea because
people
have so many opportunities to speak a foreign
language
in another
country
and achieve
confidence
. When
people
left their home
country
and start living in a completely different nation. They must use their
language
in order to communicate with other
people
. At every step he has to deal with a foreign
language
, at work, at home at stores and so on, that means a person has so many opportunities to talk in a specific
language
that will obviously help one to achieve good command over the
language
.
For example
, when Indians migrated to western countries, they do not have very good English their accent is completely different but when they resided in these countries for more than one or two years their level of English is way too high.
This
is because now they are regular users of the English
language
.
Moreover
, communicating with
people
from completely different nations
also
helps
people
to become confident about what they speak. They may use a foreign
language
in their home
country
but the main difference is over there they have an influence of their mother
language
while
speaking a different
language
, which may lose their
confidence
.
However
, when they migrated to another state they can get
confidence
because day by day they adopt the slang of native speakers and when they speak in the same way as a native speaker does and build
confidence
.
For example
, a report has recently reported that when
people
change their
country
and use a foreign
language
in their daily lives, it helps them to feel confident in every way. In conclusion, a person can only become a good user of another
language
when he speaks that
language
with others in order to speak with them and earned
confidence
.
