Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Nowadays, everyone is so familiar with all kinds of
advertisements
. Some
people
believe that advertising is a huge motivation for their consumption,
while
others argue that the widespread of it cannot impress us anymore. In my opinion, it is true that we do become less interested in generic ads,
however
, when they are really appealing, they can still be a persuasive factor in
people
's shopping behaviour. On the one hand, I do agree that our lives are filled with all kinds of
advertisements
and we are accustomed to them. They are somehow so clichéd and unattractive that we just want to skip them when we see them on the telly or on our laptops.
Furthermore
, most
people
have formed their own shopping habits and preferences. By using certain fixed
products
on a daily basis, we are usually not motivated to try new
products
.
As a result
, we have less and less interest in advertising.
On the other hand
, there are still many successful
advertisements
today. Some ads are considered a big hit because of their technological sophistication.
For example
, Apple's ads always show the perfect combination of a wide range of elements through which the features of their new
products
are presented in an appropriate way. Apple's performance in the market proves its success in advertising as well. There are
also
advertisements
for day-to-day
products
that are so eye-catching that one cannot help watching them, as they may arouse curiosity, which is often regarded as one of the human instincts. When
people
are captivated by these
advertisements
, they are willing to spend money. In conclusion, we do feel insensitive to the mundane
advertisements
in our lives,
while
the power of excellent advertising cannot be underestimated.
