It is believed that people who read for pleasure develop their imagination more and acquire better language skills compared to people who preferinter watching television. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, speaking different languages has become a crucial factor for most
people
. The vast majority of
people
said
language
growth can be by reading but some told it can be better if we choose to watch television. I totally disagree with
this
statement because it will be better to attend to watch different
tv
shows and numerous
people
are influenced by watching
videos
.
Language
development is necessary for all aspects of fields to get a job, go abroad and continue
further
study. On the first hand,
due to
changes in technology,
people
can watch different channels
such
as Bbc, English movies and
also
documentaries to boost their
language
skills
.
For instance
,
according to
researchers, it shows that
language
development was built by watching cartoons, movies and tutorial
videos
for many individuals and
also
children, 90%children prefer to watch
tv
to build vocabulary.
This
means by learning only from books does not build
skills
. If
people
read a variety of books
such
as fictional and non-fictional, it would only build proficiency but not
language
skills
.
On the other hand
, watching
videos
on
tv
can influence lots of
people
from different countries. To recite an example, In different
tv
shows, celebrities are called and interviewed are taken related to their lifestyles. Individuals who are watching
such
shows can easily get influenced and try to speak like a celebrity which will lead to the development of
language
skills
.
Additionally
, the growth of
language
skills
can
also
by watching
videos
that are subtitles. From
this
, our minds will be capturing images and words.
Consequently
, it will be more beneficial to acquire
language
skills
.
To conclude
, in my opinion, the
skills
in building
language
can be through watching
tv
because there are varieties of shows which developed our speaking.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
