The table and charts illustrate how much money and from what
sources
the police budget of one area of Britain was formed in the years 2017 and 2018. The general trend is increasing the amount of income from each source,
however
, some of them accounted for more or less percentage-wise. In the year 2017, three-quarters of the budget (175.5m) was gained from the National Government. But the next year the proportion decreased, and made up just under 70%, resulting in a more than 5% drop. Meanwhile, local taxes, which formed less than 10% of the budget in 2017, grew to approximately 15% in 2018, getting almost equal to the "other
sources
" in terms of percentage. The other
sources
(buildings and transport grants) gave just a small rise of 0.5m from 2017 to 2018.
This
led to an unchanged part of the total forming, around 17% each year. In conclusion, the total amount of funding grew up during the time period. The absolute leader remained the same – the government. At the same time, the income from local taxes increased significantly and other
sources
brought the same percentage of income each of the two years.
