You have just missed a friend’s party. Write a letter to apologise. In your letter: apologise to your friend explain why you did not attend the party say what you plan to do to make up for missing the party.
Dear Maria ,
Hope you are doing well and had a fun-loving party with all your family and friends !!
Thank you so much for your invitation and please accept my sincere apology as I was not able to attend the party .
Although
I understand why are you so upset , I will make sure to make up for this
one very soon . I am hoping that you will forgive me although
you have always been an amazing friend and supportive too .
Remember , last
time we spoke I advised you about my new project which is now going to be completed in the next couple of weeks . However
, assignments at the last
stage always come up with an issue and this
is the situation my whole team has been facing for the last
couple of days . Therefore
, I got stuck and couldn't leave them in the middle of something they weren't able to execute well . Hope you would understand the situation .
So , post-completion of my project , 2 weeks later let's make a weekend plan for 2 nights . This
will be on me to make up for the birthday I missed . We should plan to go to our favourite beachside resort as I have just heard that they have come up with some additional adventurous water activities and the reviews are also
phenomenal .
Do let me know your thoughts , I am waiting to hear from you .
Your's loving ,
