The graph below shows the number of tourists visiting a particular Caribbean island between 2010 and 2017
The line chart illustrates the
visitors
' preference when they have a tour of the Caribbean
island
from 2010 to 2017. Looking from an
overall
perspective, it is readily apparent that the total count of
visitors
has increased significantly. At
first,
visitors
prefer to stay on the
island
and are replaced as the more popular place by staying on cruise ships, which grow marginally
at the end
of the period. In 2011, the number of people who were willing to stay on cruise ships rise sharply at the number of 0.5
million
visitors
but plummet to 0.3
million
in the next year, which is only over one-fifth of
visitors
who want
island
tourism. In the following five years, the cruise trip population rise steadily and surpass the other in the middle of 2015. When it comes to the
visitors
who love to wander on the
island
, it slightly increases to 1.5
million
in 2013 and
then
remains level until 2015.
Furthermore
, in 2016 a little bit fell to 1.3
million
, but eventually back to the previous figure.
