, the four countries experienced different trends in the time period. While

of Italy and Portugal rose steadily , the emissions
in UK and Sweden fell over time.
As the graph shows , Uk's carbon
dioxide
emissions
figure started at 11 metric tonnes
followed by a slightly declined to around 8,3 metric tonnes
between the time period 1967 and 2007. Regarding Sweden's index
, in 1977 indicator
emissions
of carbon
dioxide
reached 10,1 metric tonnes
. This
figure rapidly dropped until 1987 after
this
action the inde significantly plummet till 2007.
By contrast
, the indicator
of emissions
of carbon
dioxide
in Italy started from 4 metric tonnes
in 1967 and sharply rose in 1977 . But later the growing rate of speed collapsed until 1997 then
the indicator
experienced a levelling off during the period of 10 years , so the final index
finished at 6,9 metric tonnes
. If we come to the Portugalian figures our index
gradually climbed from 1967 to 1987 followed by rapidly jumping over 10 years , afterwards the indicator
