Last year you met someone on holiday and became friends. He/she has informed you that he/she will be travelling near your hometown on business in a few months’ time. Write a letter to your friend inviting him/her to stay with you. In your letter, •express how pleased you are to hear from him/her •invite him/her to stay with you •tell him/her about your ideas of how you could spend some time together

Dear John, How are you? Hope you and your family are doing great. I am elated to know that you are planning to visit Dubai in a couple of weeks and I have already planned plenty of activities for us. It would be even better than our time spent
last
year in Thailand, where we met for the first time. Even though it was our first interaction but still we had a great time. Those memories will be cherished forever. Where are you staying in Dubai? You are most welcome to stay with me in my home. I have a beautiful guest room that will be all yours during your stay.
Also
, the timing for your visit is perfect. The weather is pleasant and the event 'Global Village' has just started. It has cultural displays from over 100 countries and
also
numerous entertainment opportunities. It will be a mammoth pleasant experience for us to attend it together. I am sure you will enjoy it to the fullest. I am desperately waiting for your arrival. Looking forward to hearing from you. Pass on my love and regards to Jenny and the kids. Yours truly Carol J
