have different views about financial support
and care for retired older people
. Some people
believe that the government
should guarantee their welfare, while
others claim that citizens have a responsibility to manage themselves by saving their budget before they retire.
On the one hand, the national budget is limited. In fact, people
who argue that individuals should save their money to prepare for their retirement without support
from governments focus on another sector which requires support
from the government
. Each country has different issues which have to be solved quickly. Some of them may have to invest to ease other problems such
as low population
, high unemployed population
and raising start-up companies. For instance
, Korea is struggling with a low population
of new babies nowadays. In these cases, the government
should invest a large amount of tax to encourage women to give birth and make an environment where people
relieve the burden of growing their children instead
of giving retirees financial aid.
Nevertheless
, there is a more important reason why we have to provide financial care for the retired population
. To begin
with, generally, if the government
does not support
them, they may experience obstacles to maintaining their lives because it is difficult for the retired old to get a new job. If people
have to live with their saved money only without any support
, the issue of poverty of older people
will be more serious. For
this
reason, the government
should keep supporting the retirees.
In conclusion, while
each country has to invest their budget in various sectors due to
different problems they are facing, I am opinion that guaranteeing retired people
is more important due to
