Professional sports are a very large industry in the world today. The most elite players can get contracts worth many millions of dollars. Some say there is too much money in sports and that it defeats the purpose of the actual game.

Nowadays,
sports
are an essential part of human lives. There is an increasing number of
people
that want to be an athlete.
However
, some
people
believe that there is too much money in
sports
that defeats the purpose of the actual game. I firmly disagree that too much money can change the purpose of the game for two reasons. The major reason is
people
can be more competitive. By having a contract, an athlete can get many millions of dollars. It makes them want to be the best athlete so they be paid higher.
For instance
, football players that make many goals will get bigger opportunities to get contracts.
As a result
, the
athletes
have to improve their ability and skills to become better players. The following reason is to promote
sports
. By providing a lot of money, young
people
can be interested in
sports
. They can focus on their hobby and not worry about their future.
For instance
, the young generation has dreams to become professional
athletes
and can be more focused on developing endurance and health. They do not have to trust the issue that
athletes
are paid less than other jobs.
Consequently
, young
people
can be healthier because they get exercise every day in order to become
athletes
.
To sum up
, it is becoming increasingly common for
people
to take a job as
athletes
. In
this
modern era, players can be paid higher.
This
trend can offer some advantages
such
as making
people
more competitive and promoting a job as
athletes
.
However
, I totally disagree that
this
trend defeats the purpose of the game. I believe the contracts for the elite player will help the development of
sports
.
