Some people claim that not enough of the waste from homes is recycled. They say that the only way to increase recycling is for governments to make it a legal requirement. To what extent do you think laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste.

It is said that recycling household waste is not adequate. so, it is necessary to enforce citizens'
laws
. in my opinion,
laws
are necessary. and, in
this
essay, I will give my reasons .
to begin
with, our garbages are damaging to precious nature.and, some individual are unconcerned about
this
issue.
also
, some citizen doesn't care about nature and pollute the environment easily without trying to recycle their waste.
therefore
,
laws
can help us to diminish pollution and other damage of not recycling. People would obey the
laws
. because, they are afraid of the punishments.
for instance
, the government can consider a fine for disregarding recycling. so, more and more citizens will be forced to recycle. but
according to
some, individuals disregard recycling . and, it might be because people cannot see the impacts of doing the recycle anytime soon.
in addition
, citizens may not know the exact effect of recycling.
for instance
, maybe they don't know how many trees will be preserved by recycling a notebook. Some say we should educate individuals. but, I would argue that
this
solution will take too much to work on and, over
this
period we are hurting our environment. so,
this
isn't a good solution. conclusion, I think the government should consider some legal enforcement for recycling. because our nature is a commodity and some people are hurting our environment.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 250 words in writing task 2. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
