Work is being done on the street where you live. The noise is disturbing you. Write a letter of complaint to your local council. In your letter: -Introduce yourself -explain what the problem is -suggest solution to the problem

Dear Sir, I am writing
this
letter to draw your attention with regards to the ongoing construction work in the neighbourhood.
Firstly
, I am Ella Khin, a resident of the “Winsor Avenue” apartment located at the right corner of the same place where repair work continues for six months under your contract. I have been living here for over 5 years as I believe
this
surrounding is a perfect place for people who are looking for a calm environment.
Secondly
, I would like to present the issue that there are a lot of road repair works have been going on here and sometimes, workers are going beyond their permissible hours for the past few months. The noise from the heavy machine is causing inconvenience to me
as well as
to other residents in the neighbourhood.
As a result
, it spoils the rest hour that we are unable to sleep at night.
Moreover
, there are students living in the area who are unable to focus on their studies with full concentration. I would like to request you to look into
this
matter on an urgent basis and I would recommend employing additional workers to speed up the repair process and to strictly limit the number of working hours for the work to be undertaken. Thank you for your consideration. Yours faithfully, Ella Khin

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
