with you. I wanted to share some exciting news with you. I recently switched jobs and now I'm working at a new company called Global Solutions Ltd. The reason for changing jobs was mainly for career advancement. I felt that my previous job didn't provide enough growth opportunities, so I decided to explore new horizons. Global Solutions is a well-established company known for its innovative approach and diverse projects. I am thrilled to be part of their team. My new role is as a Senior Marketing Executive. Use cohesive linking words accurately and appropriately

Linking words are very important in your essay.

To score effectively on your IELTS exam, you should make an effort to implement short concise sentences coupled with linking words.

Almost every sentence in your essay should have a linking word of some sort.

In fact, the only sentences that can omit linking words are your background sentence and thesis.

Linking word examples:

  • firstly
  • secondly
  • thirdly
  • in additional
  • moreover
  • also
  • for example
  • for instance
  • therefore
