Some experts believe that it is better for children to begin learning a foreign language at primary schools rather than secondary school. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays learning foreign
languages
particularly English which is the dominant one around the world plays a crucial role for individuals to make advancements in their both personal and career life. Considering the necessity of learning non-native
languages
, some experts believe that children had better start studying foreign
languages
in primary schools rather than secondary school. In my opinion, the merits of
this
outlook fairly prevail over the drawbacks. There are two major benefits to
this
notion. First and foremost, children can pick up new
languages
more easily than teenagers. In fact, their brains are not occupied by different things as much as teenagers' brains.
In other words
, their brains are still programmed to acquire their mother's tongue so it enables them to learn any other
languages
much more sufficiently.
Moreover
, individuals would get the chance to become acquainted with different cultures at earlier ages.
However
, there are some negative aspects of
this
development. The primary disadvantage is that the value of their mother tongue may gradually fade away as they focus on different
languages
at earlier ages.
