The graph below shows average carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions per person in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal between 1967 and 2007.
The chart illustrates carbon dioxide (CO2)
emissions
per person
in four different countries which are the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, and Portugal from 1697 to 2007.
Overall
, it has been observed that in the UK and Sweden carbon dioxide emissions
have significantly decreased. Whereas
emissions
per person
in Italy and Portugal have gradually increased.
At the start of the period
the UK and Sweden had an excessive amount of emissions
produced per person
with around 11 and 9 metric tonnes
respectively. Italy produced a considerably lower amount of emissions
per person
which was 4 tonnes
. While
Portugal had the lowest output of emission per person
with under 2 tonnes
.
Despite the steady reduction in emissions
per person
in the UK were the highest in the given period
. Sweden’s production of emissions
per person
surged to 10 metric tonnes
in 1977 then
plummet to 7 metric tonnes
in 1987 after that it steadily reduced to the end of the period
. Average carbon emission that each person
in Italy abruptly rose in 1977 and then
constantly increased. Italy’s emissions
per person
had nearly doubled from the beginning at just above 4 metrics in 1967. While
Portugal at the start of the period
produced nearly 1.5 metric tonnes
but in 2007 emissions
had reached 5.5 metric tonnes
matching Sweden’s average.Submitted by msulemanm9 on
