Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing
this
letter to apply for the position of volunteer to teach a basic English program for refugees advertised in The Times India
last
day. At the moment, I am studying a degree course in English Literature at Stanford University. It is mandatory in our college to engage in any volunteer program and I would like to do unpaid work on
this
one.
Furthermore
, I am in my
last
year and I worked on a similar basic English program
last
year. I would like to do some volunteer work during
this
long, summer break.
Thus
, it would be commendable to take
this
request into your kind consideration. I will be available from the beginning of July until the end of September 2023 and I could teach up to 10 hours per week. Please find attached my CV for
further
review. I look forward to hearing from you Yours faithfully, Agna James

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
