The maps illustrate the renovation of Grange Park between 1920 and today.
Overall
, the design of the place had a significant development after hundred years. We can see that it changed into a more entertaining place. The most notable distinct part was the centre of the area. A fountain was there before the rose garden replaced it. Meanwhile, seats used to be placed around the edge of the park, but it has been relocated around the rose garden. In 1920, there was a stage for musicians which has been constructed next to the fountain.
However
, it has a considerable demolition after the period, which was renovated into an amphitheatre for concerts.
Therefore
, more audiences could fit in there.
Moreover
, the environmental facilities on eastern land were destroyed.
Whereas
, the children's playground covered the spot where the pond was.In fact, the pond was recreated on the southeast into a water feature to replace the glasshouse.
