The given bar chart illustrates a comparison of the total world residents in four countries in three different years from 1950 to 2050. From an
overall
perspective, it is evident that the percentage of residents in India showed an upward trend,
whereas
a reverse pattern could be observed in the data on the remaining nations, namely China, the USA and Japan. In the Indian country, the proportion of predicted inhabitants in 1950 was the highest, at approximately 19%. The figure for 2002 was lower, at around 17%. Inhabitants in 1950,
however
, accounted for the lowest proportion, at precisely 15%. The period between 1950 and estimated 2050 witnessed a rapid decline in the percentage of the population in China, the USA and Japan, reaching a peak of around 23%, 7% and 4%, respectively.
