In recent times, there has been a great deal of debate about which types of old
buildings
 should be preserved. Some people believe that there are certain old fabrics that are more valuable and worth preserving than others. I believe that historical landmarks and edifices that hold cultural significance should be preserved,
while
 others can be demolished and replaced with alternative
structures
. There are several advantages to preserving old erections.
