Throughout the history,

 played an integral role as a

information
. But
today
, people have a variety of
media
,
such
 as radio, TV and the
Internet
. Choosing the most reliable and convenient
source
 of
information
 is an important issue. In
this
 essay, my views on choosing between
newspapers
 and
Internet
media
 will be discussed.  On the one hand,
newspapers
 are one of the oldest sources of data in the world. It was a pioneering invention in
media
 history, making recent
news
 available to the population. Since the 19th century, millions of people worldwide have been receiving the latest
news
 from their daily paper delivery.
Today
 huge
media
 outlets like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Atlantic have thousands of papers being printed daily. Paper-based sources of
information
 are needed to be checked thoroughly before release because mistakes can not be corrected after it.
This
 makes
newspapers
 a highly reliable
source
 of
information
. 
On the other hand
, the world has been digitalized in many spheres for decades, including the
media
. There are major merits, which, in my opinion, make the web the best
source
 of
information
. The
Internet
 allows the
news
 to spread quickly throughout the globe,
thus
 surpassing the
newspapers
.
Moreover
, if it wasn’t for online
news
 outlets, there would be less freedom of speech
today
.
For example
, authoritarian countries tend to censor independent
media
.
Internet
 decentralized projects are opposing propaganda of these states, and serve as an alternative
source
 of
information
 for the population.  Indeed,
newspapers
 are not as relevant
today
, as they used to be back in the past. Novel
Internet
media
 is having a major impact on the world, considering its speed and state independence.
