Dear Mr Addams I’m your neighbour in apartment 305, and I’m writing to complain about your dog’s noise. It is truly causing me a disturbance. Every night from 8 p.m. onwards your pet starts barking extremely loudly and does not stop till after midnight. I have tried to block out the sound, but my attempts were unsuccessful. The excessive noise makes it almost impossible for me to sleep at a reasonable time.

As a result

, I am always tired at work on the following day.

This

fatigue has hindered my ability to concentrate and effectively perform my tasks. It even negatively reflected on my job’s performance evaluation. As

this

situation is unacceptable and can’t go on for much longer, I vehemently ask that you promptly remedy the problem. Perhaps you could train your dog to be quieter or seek the help of a professional if you are unable to do so yourself. Should

this

disturbance persist, I shall have no choice but to contact the landlord. Thank you for your cooperation in

Throughout the course of life, we encounter so many unpleasant circumstances, many of which are unavoidable. Some believe it is better to accept a bad circumstance as it is and be content with what we have. Meanwhile, others argue that we have to fight against these odds to come out of poverty or unsatisfactory jobs. Though both views have valid points, in my opinion, we have to stand up against most of the odds to live happily.
