You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a friend who lives there for some help. Write a letter to this friend. In your Letter - give detail of your study plans - explain why you want to get a part-time job - suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Dear Deacon,
I’m
thrilled to tell you that I’ve
secured a spot in a master’s program at a university near you in London, and I was wondering if you could help me find a part-time job I could potentially do while
I complete my course
I am going to be studying healthcare management for a year. As you know, I’m
already a doctor by profession so this
added qualification will be useful to my portfolio. The program will start in September of this
year, so I’m
planning on moving to London at the beginning of August.
I’ve
heard about how expensive staying in London is, so I figured my savings won’t be enough to afford rent, along with
my living expenses. That’s why I’ve
decided to start applying for jobs. I’m
particularly interested in data entry roles and secretarial work, as I have past experience working in these departments.
If it’s okay with you, could you please do some research and ask around and see if you can find any open positions for the roles I’ve
mentioned? Please let me know if you come across potential employers.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
All the best,
