In many countries today, people in cities either live alone or in small family units, rather than in large, extended family groups. Is this a positive or negative trend?

Recently, there has been a heated debate on whether city dwellers should live alone or in big
families
. Some people believe that it is better for city dwellers to live alone,
while
others think it is better for them to live in big
families
. From my own perspective, the advantages of living alone or in a family of three outweigh the disadvantages. On the one hand, urban residents who live alone or in a family of three often have a more independent living space at home, allowing them to enjoy the quietness of being alone and relaxing after work. And they have more freedom in the arrangement of their lifetime, which is more helpful to their career development. The consumption of people living alone increases, which
also
promotes the development of the urban economy.
On the other hand
, city dwellers living alone or living in small
families
can
also
cause the problem of reduced communication. They don’t often meet and chat with their
families
, and they often live alone, which makes them feel lonely and lack the feeling of family. They can’t enjoy the warmth and encouragement brought by the family. At the same time, they cannot take care of each other with their
families
, and they will fall ill more often than those living in large
families
. The illness cycle will be prolonged. Generally speaking, urban residents who live alone or in small
families
can achieve better self-development.
