The line chart indicates data about countries of immigration of foreign students in Australia between 1982 and 2000.
Overall
,it is clear from the graph that every four countries witnessed an upward trend over the period.
While
Malaysia started with some amount of visitor arrivals for education at the beginning, Indonesia,Hong Kong and Singapore didn't remain any student arrivals by that time. As the graph illustrates, Malaysia's arrivals for higher education figure began at over 4000 in 1982 followed by a small increase to around six thousand and stabilized from 1983 to 1988. Regarding Indonesia's immigration figures,in 1984 it witnessed only 1000.But
then
it rose with some fluctuations,and it peaked at approximately 26,000 in 1998.
In contrast
,both Hong Kong and Singapore did not show any results until 1987. Each country grew with some variations.In the end, Hong Kong saw a slight rise to nearly 18000 by 2000.At the same time, Singapore showed a bit more estimation at almost 20000.
