Q. The increasing number of senior citizens in many societies has triggered a question whether the government should take the responsibility or individual family should take care of them. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

The number of the elderly has increased in modern societies.

. At
first,
individual families should take the responsibility of looking after old
people
. Interestingly, every family has different traditions, histories and circumstances in their household. So, they could know well how to
support
their parents or grandparents mentally and physically. It is a common belief that older
people
usually experience isolation or depression after they retired jobs. So, it is crucial for them to have emotional

. Family

could be the best ones who could encourage their grandparents to have family bonds.

or private hospital services, they are not satisfied with them.
This
is because some elderly
people
experience poor services and limited mental
support
by using them.
As a result
, individual families could be better responsible for them. On the one hand, many elderly
people
need some help from the government whether they have family
members
who could
support
them or not. Since they are getting older, they might experience a lot of difficulties in their daily life
such
as financial problems, health issues, and many more. In my opinion, the authorities could play an important role in taking
care
of senior citizens, offering various kinds of benefits to them.
Firstly
, they could erect plenty of infrastructure for them
such
as healthcare facilities, senior communities, education programs and so on.
Also
, they might
support
elderly individuals who do not have any family
members
to help them financially. Indeed, many countries have provided financial resources to senior citizens. Eventually, those kinds of well-fare services will improve the quality of old
people
’s lifestyles.
To sum up
,
although
the government might allow the elderly to have diverse well-fare security, I believe that each family will be the one who could
support
them mentally and physically.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
