65.Some people think that success in life comes from hard work and determination, while others think that there are more important factors such as money and appearance. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

While
some people believe that hard work and determination are the most crucial factors in achieving personal goals, others think that material possessions and physical appearance hold greater significance. In my opinion, neither view tells the whole story, and
thus
it is an oversimplification to venerate one view over the other without carefully examining all the determinants. I have to say that it is going too far to think of hard work and determination as the keys to professional success. Admittedly, it is not surprising that
such
beliefs are so deeply ingrained in the minds of those who are not wealthy that they have no choice but to appeal to these two attributes to achieve their goals. Yet those who think in
this
way ignore the concerns of the upper-middle class, many of whom do not share the same concerns about basic needs and lifelong aspirations that need to be fulfilled. In
this
regard, it is not easy to expect those from affluent backgrounds to share the same values and prospects as their peers who are under pressure for livelihood and career prospects.
While
people who were born into wealth are less likely to be hardworking, it does not necessarily mean that money and appearance are more important than other qualities. The rhetorical problem lies in the ambiguity of the term "more important".
This
descriptor refers to something that cannot be defined by generally accepted criteria.
Instead
, its justification is domain-specific and context-dependent. It is undeniable that personal wealth and appearance are still key indicators for Forbes list nominations;
however
, when reading the articles behind those glossy magazine covers, we see traditional values at the heart of their success stories
such
as perseverance, hard work, or resilience to failure. In general, my conclusion is that there is an overemphasis on industry or materialism and a lack of consideration for the context.
