Air traffic is increasingly leading to more noise, pollution, and airport constuction. One reason for this is the growth in low-cost passenger flights, often to holiday destinations. Some people say that government should try to reduce air traffic by taxing it more heavily. Do you agree or disagree?

This
recent years, travelling around the world has never been more convenient
due to
the cheap
flights
that airline companies are advertising.
This
led to an
increase
in
air
traffic
as well as
pollution
.
However
, some people believe that
this
still could be mitigated if the government will
increase
the
tax
. In my opinion,
this
is just one way to control the negative effects of constant
air
travel
. With the rising popularity of
air
travel
as a mode of transportation to go from one location to another, it brought a myriad of drawbacks.
Air
traffic has been a great issue of multiple
flights
which we can't recognize as we could not tangibly see it. Another disadvantage of
this
is the growing
pollution
. It is not just
air
pollution
but
also
noise
pollution
.
According to
the statics in the Philippines, the ozone layer of the said country is starting to deteriorate and has a 98% chance of being destroyed in the year 2030. There are different strategies for
this
to be controlled but the main way is for the government to
increase
the
travel
tax
. With
this
, people would think twice if they really need to use

for a holiday.
For instance
, if there is a higher
tax
for travelling, passengers will surely decide thoroughly if they really need it or not.
Thus
, reducing the number of
flights
per airline company leads to a reduction of the negative effects.
Furthermore
, only those people who can really afford to pay the
tax
will be able to
travel
.
Hence
, the companies will reduce
flights
in order for them not to waste their profits. To recapitulate,
air
travel
brings various bad effects, especially to the environment. One way to solve
this
is for the government to
increase
its
tax
, bringing companies to decrease their
flights
leading to a reduction in
pollution
and
air
traffic.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
