The line graph illustrates the average variation in the costs of 3 separate metals every month in the year 2014.
It is clear that
there was an upward tendency in the price of zinc
, while
the opposite was true for nickel
and copper
. Besides
,these 3 sorts of metals experienced fluctuation and nickel
witnessed the most noticeable drop of all.
As can be seen, in January, nickel
was recorded to be at the top of the list with a 6 % change in its price from the previous month, compared to 1% in Zinc
and 2% in Copper
. Over the next 2 months, whereas
the figures for Nickel
and Copper
dropped to approximately 1% and 0.5 % respectively, Zinc
increased its cost to double. Nickel
kept falling until it reached a low of -3% in the middle of the year after. Likewise
, the price of Zinc
together with
Copper
also
decreased considerably to -1% and -0.5% severally.
However
, over the last
6 months, the values of all types of metals rose again. Nickel
climbed to -1% and remained the same until September before getting to 1% in December . Similarly
, the percentage of Zinc
and Copper
soared to 2% and 1.5% separately at the end
