Dear Sam, I hope you had a wonderful trip, and everything went as you planned. I'm writing

this

letter to let you know that accidentally, I damaged one of your glass windows located in the backyard. It actually happened as the Air Conditioning wasn't working properly on Saturday and because of the hot and humid temperature inside, I opened all the windows and doors of the house.

However

, after some time the weather changed drastically, and it became very windy outside

as well as

started raining heavily. So I had to close all the entrances of the house, in order to prevent them, but, anyhow one of the windows was left open and got broken.

Lastly

, I would like to apologize, as because of me you have to face trouble.

I have booked an appointment with the contractor, he will be visiting and calling you on the coming weekend and I've
