Write a letter to the airport flight manager about missing a business trip due to an accident that happened at the airport. Explain • - what was the accident? • - what was the result of missing the flight? • - what do you want them to do?
Dear Sir,
I am writing to draw your attention to an event that took place at terminal #9 which is under your observation. I was supposed to board a plane with number XYZ109 on 10th June at 7 P.M. from Mumbai to Dubai to attend a business meeting. Everything was perfectly fine until I entered the door and started walking towards the check-in counter queue. Unfortunately, I almost fell down there, and my right ankle got twisted because of the slippery surface. It seemed that it was spilt water and did not get cleaned by the airport worker.
I am grateful that a fellow passenger who was just behind me gave me support, and I got my balance back.
However
, the damage was done and I required immediate first aid. Due to
this
delay, I was not able to catch the flight and missed the meeting as well which was very crucial for my organization. Furthermore
, I am afraid that it could take my job.
Somehow I insisted my client reschedule the meeting for the next day. For
this
reason, I would like you to compensate me for yesterday's loss with a brand new ticket for tomorrow's flight which shall depart at 8.30 in the morning. Also
, as a regular flyer, I expect that you will discuss the previous day's carelessness in your next staff meeting, and you will make that it will not get repeated.
Looking forward to your prompt reply.
Yours Sincerely,
