perspective, it is readily apparent that the British people had the highest number of CO2 emissions in comparison to the other three countries. Both the United Kingdom and Sweden had a downward trend in the span of 40 years, whereas
Portugal and Italy had slightly increased.
To begin
with, in the year 1966 to 1977, the gas emission was stable which was around 11 metric tons in the United Kingdom, while
in Sweden, it increased by approximately 10 tonnes
to 10.5 tonnes
. Conversely
, from 1977 to 2007, both countries dropped steadily, the UK dropped nearly 9 tonnes
