Some people believe that it is the responsiblity of individuals to take care of their own health and diet. Others, however, believe that gorvernments should make sure that their citizens have a healthy diet. Discuss both views, and give your opinion.

With respect to the topic referring to who should shoulder the responsibility for
citizens
' health and
diet
, many contend that it is the
government
's task to maintain
individuals
' fitness,
while
others opine that it is something that residents should take into consideration. On one hand, the fitness level of
citizens
plays a significant role in the development of society, which means the
government
is regarded to emphasize that. It is alleged that the majority of illness,
such
as a huge proportion of gastric perforation and enterogastritis, is generally attributed to the unhealthy or unreasonable
diet
of inhabitants.
Hence
, encouraging
individuals
to form a reasonable and balanced
diet
habit serves as an effective and efficient way to diminish the rate of illness. In
this
case, the pressure of an overloaded medical system can be released to a great degree, which means the
government
can distribute more funds to other domains.
On the other hand
, it is unpractical, unresponsible and unrealistic to transfer the responsibility that residents should take to the
government
.
Individuals
ought to take the initiative to attend to themselves. Unlike infants, most
citizens
are equipped with the ability to take care of themselves. It's nearly effortless for
individuals
to form a healthy
diet
spontaneously,
while
it is of great difficulty for the
government
to spur
citizens
into action.
For instance
, even if the authority enforces a related status, it cannot be implemented without the cooperation of
individuals
. In my opinion,
while
the authority should get involved in the forming of a
diet
,
individuals
are expected to shoulder the main responsibility. The
government
, possessing a wide range of functions, ought to invest the energy and capital into other fields
such
as military units and police force, rather than some domain that
individuals
should take over. Only by distributing duties scientifically and reasonably, can society function well and march on.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
