Write a letter to an English-speaking friend. In your letter – explain why you changed jobs – describe your new job – tell him/her your other news

Dear Mary, Long time no see. I hope you are always healthy and safe. I am writing
this
letter to tell you that I have changed my job for 1 month already. I took a lot of time to make
this
decision because I worked there for almost 2 years and have the opportunity to meet so many friendly customers. In my previous job, I didn't have so many chances to use languages, which makes my English is going down
day
by
day
. That's why, I decided to stop that position.
Additionally
, I want to tell you about my new job now. I am working as a consultant sales staff, I need to work with foreigners every
day
and I can be an interpreter for my boss.
In addition
, let me tell you a secret thing of mine. I am going to get married next month. I hope you can attend my wedding
day
. I am looking forward to receiving your reply soon. Yours sincerely, Joseph Hien

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
