Overall
, over the years the number of shops was changing with considerable fluctuations, but both reached lower values by the end of the period compared with the initial data.
The figures for shops that were opened during the estimated period experienced a sharp drop in 2012 and were just less than 4000 however
they recovered their values in 2014 and reached around 6500 openings. Despite this
, fewer and fewer establishments were opening by the end of 2018 and only 3000 people decided to open their sales outlet in 2018.
At the same time, stores closing has shown a downward tendency and were dropping relatively stable with periodic oscillations such
as a small rise in 2013 when around 7200 outlets were closed compared with 6000 in 2012. Moreover
, a dramatic fall occurred in 2015, numbers dropped more than 7 times and about 500 shopowners finished their business.
