The diagram below shows the life cycle of a salmon, from eggs to adult fish.
The diagram illustrates several stages in the development of a kind of fish called salmon.
It is clear that
there are 8 main stages involved in
this
process, beginning with eggs being laid in the river and continuing to grow into adult fish in the ocean. As can be seen, female salmons tend to choose rivers as a place for their spawning. After being laid, the eggs are incubated during the incubation period, and
then
the babies emerge. At
this
stage, those with long tails do not have the appearance of a normal fish.
Next,
as growing up, they move to the freshwater area first and
then
the estuary later. Once migrating to the estuary, those creatures keep staying there for rearing and turn bigger in size.
Subsequently
, they finish their growth and become fully mature before returning to the ocean.
Finally
, the adult salmons carry on the migration to the spawning places again in order to mate and spawn, the life cycle begins all over repeatedly.
