At the beginning of the period, the Washing machine was the most popular appliance in many households although
, over the years it became the least used product at above 70%. In 1920, Refrigerator was not even used by most owners however
, in the next twenty years it jumped directly to approximately 55% and by the end of the period 2019, it became the most consumed appliance with the Vacuum cleaner reaching the peak of 100% marking that every household had these two appliances.

started to drastically fall. For instance
, in the year 1920, most hours
which were put in a week were at 50 hours
but it rapidly shrank to almost 20 hours
