The map illustrates two possible locations for the construction of a new supermarket in the town of Garlsdon.

Overall

, the most striking difference between the two sites is that the first site is in the countryside,

while

the second location is roughly in the middle of the Town centre. As can be seen from the picture, the first site is located in a rural area which is far away from the residential area and near a main road leading to Hindon - about 12 kilometres to the North-West corner. it is fairly convenient for inhabitants who live in Hidon and Garlsdon as there are two ways to reach it, either by train or through the main road.

, the second possible location which is almost in the city centre would be surrounded by the industrial zones and accommodations on the North and South side of the city.

, the distance from Hearing to Cransdon and Bransdon is about 25km and 16km respectively.

Despite some advantages, I believe that the disadvantages of this idea would be more significant. Consuming locally grown food is advantageous in several ways. First, when produce is purchased and consumed locally, the local economy greatly benefits. More income will be generated for those involved in the food’s production, including farmers and growers, which will, in turn, enhance their standards of living. Eating locally grown food can also play a role in helping to protect the environment.
