Begin your letter as follows: Dear...,

Dear Joyce, I met your mum on Friday and she told me all about your admission and
also
how you are finding it difficult to fit in.
Firstly
, I will like to congratulate you on your admission to Queen's College, which is one of the top schools in the country. Making new friends and fitting into a new environment can be a little challenging but I know you will be able to fit in properly in no time. You can start making friends with your classmates, especially individuals who sit beside you in class. I will
also
recommend you join clubs that you are passionate about, in other to meet people who have similar interests as you. You can
also
participate in activities like school competitions because I know how competitive you can be. One other option will be to volunteer in other school activities, so you can meet other students from different departments of the school. I wish you a wonderful academic section and I hope to hear from you as soon as possible. Yours faithfully Kemzy

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
