In some countries, online shopping is replacing shopping in stores. Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

Thanks to technical development, daily more and more
people
buy goods from the Internet
instead
of going to physical stores.
However
, I believe that
this
trend can be both positive and negative. On the one hand, shopping online brings some benefits for
customers
. First and foremost,
this
kind of purchase offers convenience to buyers.
Customers
can easily select any items from their comfortable homes, or workplaces and it is
also
not complicated to cancel transactions for a particular item if they chose the wrong
product
or wanted to change to another one.
Consequently
,
this
satisfaction shopping gives more
time
for
people
who can manage
time
for shopping and
time
for other life activities.
Secondly
, online buying helps
customers
the ability to compare styles and prices of
products
. The selling companies manifest the arrangement of
products
online,

online will help
customers
multichoice after comparing prices and the features of
products
.
For instance
,
customers
from Vietnam in Asia can have a look at a
product
online in the American market with a distance far around half of the earth.
On the other hand
, faulty
products
and delayed transportation are negative of shopping through the Internet. It cannot be denied that many websites show many attractive goods to draw attention from
people
and
then
sell fake
products
. In
this
way, the
customers
hardly return those faulty
products
.
As a result
,
people
can be ruined the experience of shopping in general. Another negative aspect of internet buying is a delay in delivery. Unlike traditional marketplaces where buyers can receive the selected
products
at the same
time
they paid, online
customers
cannot.
Due to
the distance and policy shipping,
customers
can wait a period
time
longer than they are expecting. Especially, if they want to buy a
product
at a certain
time
, it is hard to tell if
this
product
will come in
time
. In conclusion, though online shopping is increasing
due to
the many benefits it offers for
customers
in modern life ,
however

physical stores are still secure places for buyers to bring a good experience shopping atmosphere.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
