, it is clear that
people aged under 26 years old are most likely to study out of career pursuits, and are also
favoured by employers to offer support, whereas
the majority of employees aged above 49 are interested in studying.
When it comes to factors triggering learners to study, 80% of them acquire knowledge for career development, while
the figure for employees who are more than 49 years old stands at 20%. By contrast
, only one-tenth of the young people aged under 26 are driven by an interest in studying, which rose to 40% when they are in their 40s which equals that of career pursuits and increases sevenfold as they are over 49.
With regard to employer support, students who are under 26 and between 26 and 29 are more likely to get help, at 60% and 50% respectively. The percentage reached the bottom of 30% for the 30-39 age bracket, which rebounds back to approximately 33% for those who are in the 40s and 40% for students aged beyond 49 years old.Submitted by 76805977 on
